Led Zeppelin Bio
In 1980, John Bonham died from asphyxiation, but the band continued to bring in large success through their influence and musical achievements. The group sold well over 300 million albums worldwide, including approximately 110 million in the United States. Other acheivements include being the only band to have every single one of their albums reach the U.S. Billboard Top 10 and ranking number one on VH1’s list of 100 greatests hard rock artists. The band’s discography includes Led Zeppelin, Led Zepplelin II, Led Zeppelin III, Zed Zeppelin IV, Houses of the Holy, Physical Graffiti, Presence and In Through the Out Door. Other albums include but are not limited to The Song Remains the Same, Coda, BBC Sessions, Early Days: The Best of Led Zeppelin Volume One and How the West Was Won. Some of their most chart-topping songs are “Whole Lotta Love,” “Black Dog,” “Darlene,” “Ozone Baby,” “Traveling Riverside Blues,” “Baby Come on Home,” “Dazed and Confused” and “Stairway to Heaven.” This November, the three remaining band members announced three new Led Zeppeling titles will be released. On November 12, Mothership will come out, featuring a two-disc, 24 track songlist. The second release will be a reissue of the soundtrack to The Song Remains the Same on November 20. This will include previously unreleased material and a new DVD. Reports are still in the air about a potential 2008 Led Zeppelin reunion tour. |
